Lesbian Bondage

January 29th 2010

Lesbian Bondage relates to a situation where a gay woman is restrained in thralldom, bonded slavery or vassalage. The term lesbian can be traced back to the Greek Island Lesbos, in the East Aegean Sea. Bondage refers to the state of being under the hold or influence or control of another person.

Several slang expressions have been coined for the various types of lesbian bondage. Dyke or bulldyke are slang for a lesbian with masculine traits, even though she may not be a homosexual. They are often looked upon in a derogatory manner by people but are embraced within their own homosexual society.

The bond among lesbianism and lesbian branded transgenders or transsexual woman who distinguished to be under lesbian bondage has always been a tumultuous one. There have been rampant hostilities in the past but now things are settling down. The twentieth century has brought with it winds of change.

Several lesbian bondage groups unequivocally accept transsexual women and are open to others considered to be under lesbian bondage. There are groups that are still closed to transsexual women, though groups like the Lesbian Avengers have an all-embracing policy.

A lot of women in lesbian bondage do not like to be termed as lesbians but would prefer being called bisexual. Similar to any social activity, sexual manifestation hinges on the nature and basis of the relationships. Irrespective of their sexual inclinations lesbians can be wanton or dedicated, embarrassed or dignified.

The wide gamut of lesbian bondage demeanor can be deceptive. Winds of change sweeping over the western and some other societies have encouraged women under lesbian bondage to manifest their sexual leanings openly, starting new researches on lesbian bondage sexuality.

Discussions are on about the authority women have over their sexual preferences and their lives. The whole concept of female sexuality needs to be overhauled.
